About us

Every year hospices around New Zealand run Hospice Strawberry Festival events in November.

Ice cream and fresh spring strawberry sundaes are sold to local communities at events organised by the hospices. The Hospice Strawberry Festival raises vital funds to help keep hospice services free to all who need them both now and in the future.

This unique festival also celebrates the hospice philosophy about making the most of life. The dark, cold days of winter have disappeared and spring has arrived just in time for us to celebrate with delicious strawberries and ice cream.  For information on the Hospice Strawberry Festival events being run this year, please see news/events

The first Hospice Strawberry Festival was held in Wellington in 2005 by Mary Potter Hospice and it has since grown to become a national festival supported by thousands of New Zealanders.

NEWS FLASH    For the first time this year 'virtual' strawberry sundaes are available online for you to buy and thereby donate to a hospice. Thank you for generously helping to keep hospice services free.
